Scope of advice
Sentinel Capital Advisors provides independent commercial, strategic and investment-analysis advice to Boards, executives and investors. This work is provided on a fee-for-service basis, directly to the client paying for it.
Sentinel does not provide, and this website should not be read as offering:
- personal financial-product advice, or any advice regulated under an Australian Financial Services Licence;
- legal, tax or audit opinions;
- engineering design, certification or technical performance warranties;
- environmental approvals, certification or carbon-credit creation; or
- indiscriminate investor solicitation or promotion of securities.
Where a matter requires legal, tax, audit, engineering or other regulated expertise, that work is referred to, or delivered jointly with, appropriately qualified and licensed specialists. Any activity involving securities, investor introductions, financial-product advice or transaction arranging is undertaken only under separate, written engagement terms, after independent legal review.
No general reliance
Content published on this website, including articles distributed through The Commercial Transition Brief, reflects general commentary and analysis. It does not constitute advice for any particular organisation's circumstances and should not be relied upon as the basis for a specific investment or business decision. Formal advice is provided only under a written engagement.
Conflicts of interest
Sentinel discloses referral fees, commissions, relationships and competing mandates relevant to a specific engagement as part of that engagement's terms. Independence from vendors, promoters and funders is a core operating principle of the practice.
Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly. If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and the contents of your message in order to respond and, where relevant, maintain a record of the enquiry.
- Newsletter subscription. If you subscribe to The Commercial Transition Brief via Substack, your subscription and any related data (such as your email address) is collected and managed directly by Substack, under Substack's own privacy policy, not by Sentinel.

How we use information
Information collected through this website is used only to:
- respond to enquiries and correspond about potential or existing engagements;
- maintain accurate records for professional and regulatory purposes; and
- operate and secure the website itself.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties.
Third-party services
This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts and is hosted via Cloudflare Pages. Both providers may process limited technical data (such as IP address) as part of delivering these services. Newsletter functionality is provided by Substack. We recommend reviewing the respective privacy policies of Google, Cloudflare and Substack for details of their own data handling.
Data security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect information provided to us and retain correspondence only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by professional or legal obligations.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask that we delete correspondence that is not otherwise required to be retained. Contact admin@sentinelcapital.io for any such request.
